QA Automation Engineer

We are hiring a Sr. QA Automation Engineer for a 1-year contract role. The ideal candidate should have 7–10 years of experience in functional and automation testing of web and non-web applications. Candidates must have expertise in Selenium with Java, Python, or C#, and should be well-versed in BDD frameworks. Experience in API testing using tools like Postman, REST Assured, and SOAP UI is required. The role demands strong skills in automation framework development, along with proficiency in SQL and familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies. Hands-on experience with tools such as JIRA, ALM, and Git is essential. Excellent communication and client interaction abilities are also critical for success in this role.

Must-Have Skills:

Functional testing of web-based applications

Selenium with Java/Python/C#

BDD frameworks (Cucumber, etc.)

API testing (REST, XML) using Postman, SOAP UI, REST Assured

Strong SQL skills for backend validation

Experience in Agile/Waterfall methodologies

Tools: Git, JIRA/ALM/Bugzilla/Rally

Experience in automation framework development from scratch

Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

Client interaction for understanding requirements

Participation in design and requirement reviews

Nice-to-Have Skills:

Experience with performance testing tools

Familiarity with QA metrics (defect leakage, rejection ratio, pass rate)

Java application deployment knowledge

Test documentation and reporting
